Omari Sincere Munroe, affectionately known as Mars, was born on July 6, 1998, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. From a young age, Mars demonstrated a remarkable ability to master everything he set his mind to — showcasing an unparalleled dedication to his interests and an extraordinary intellect that left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

His Story

A mind built to create. A spirit built to lead.

Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and raised across New York and Georgia, Mars demonstrated extraordinary intelligence and a natural gift for creativity from an early age. He was particularly skilled with his hands — drawing intricate designs and building elaborate structures with Legos, showcasing his innate talent for design and engineering.

Teachers consistently recognized his brilliant mind, often remarking on his exceptional intellect and potential. He attended Heritage High School, where he graduated with honors, earning a Cum Laude distinction in 2017. During his high school years, he also attended Rockdale Career Academy, where he obtained dual certificates in Engineering and Architecture.

He was an active and disciplined student, participating in Marine Corps JROTC and serving on the rifle team — reflecting his dedication, focus, and sense of discipline.

In 2022, Mars achieved a significant milestone by earning his Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from the Savannah College of Arts & Design (SCAD), specializing in Industrial Design with a focus on Automotive Design, complemented by a minor in Film and Television.

Twelve days after his 25th birthday
On the evening of July 18, 2023, Mars was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident while on his way home from work on a Georgia highway. His passing left an irreplaceable void — and sparked a movement dedicated to the road safety awareness he deserved.

"Mom, I love my job." — His heartfelt words reflected not only his happiness but his deep appreciation for the chance to pursue his passion in such a meaningful way.

To many of his friends, Mars was also known as Sudo — a nickname that conveyed a profound message of resilience and unwavering determination.

The name was inspired by the phrase: "Each time, every time, without fail, you must do it." It served as a personal mantra — a reminder that no matter how difficult the circumstances or how many setbacks he encountered, he would always find a way to persevere.

When his friends called him Sudo, it was more than just a nickname. It symbolized his relentless drive to push forward, to keep going despite any challenge, and to never give up. Sudo Mars embodied his unbreakable spirit — a steadfast belief that, regardless of the obstacles in his path, he would always rise to meet them head-on.

Automotive Design
Mars's greatest passion — he earned his SCAD degree specifically to design and engineer the performance vehicles he dreamed about since childhood.
Engineering & Architecture
From building Legos as a child to earning dual certificates, Mars had an innate gift for construction, structure, and precision engineering.

He minored in Film and Television at SCAD, reflecting his wide creative range — a storyteller and visual thinker at his core.

From this grief, his mother founded the Message From MARS Foundation — Motorcycle Moms Advocating for Road Safety — to ensure his story continues to protect lives.

Mars's memory will be cherished, celebrated, and kept alive through the stories we share and the lives we touch. His impact was profound, and his legacy of creativity, enthusiasm, and kindness will continue to inspire us all.

Though he is no longer with us physically, his spirit remains a guiding light — reminding us to live fully, love deeply, and appreciate every precious moment.
